My l...Hi Claire,<BR/>I'm waiting on Weekend Sewing too. My last machine was a Janome, I think it was a 525s, cost about £200 and was very good. My latest is a Bernina 230 which has some more handy features - one step buttonhole, needle up\needle down, ability to alter the needle position and to sew at half speed, it can sew on buttons and has a memory bank and LCD screen.
