Just so you know, I received for Xmas, Confetti Cakes Cookbook by Elisa Strauss and Romantic Cakes by Peggy Porschen. I've yet to create anything, but when I do I'll give my appraisal of the instructions. Peggy's book may be useful for my class, as she does a lot of flowers, while Elisa's book has more fun styled cakes without being tacky.
If you have used these books, please let me know!

Hi Clare, Happy new year! Did you enjoy the festive season? I loved it! The books look great, I've had a flick through them both in the book shop before now and the cakes look amazing, i can't wait to see you bake some! I'm on a healthy eating month :) I'm not sure there are many 'healthy' cakes for me to bake but I will try, lol! Thanks for your support too!
Hi Claire, I just stumbled across your wonderful Blog from Mrs B's. I was very interested in reading your post about Sugarcraft or Cake Decorating, excellent post. Your new books look very interesting too :)
Please feel free to call by my blog anytime :)

Hello
My name is Susan Harwood.
I'm contacting people who might be interested in my new blog - people who list 'the environment' or allotments (!) amongst their interests on their 'blogger's profile'.
It’s called
SHOUTING AT THE RADIO
It is concerned with the environment, building, architecture, politics and education and can be found at

It is in its very early stages just yet - so comments will be especially welcome!
Yours sincerely
Susan Harwood
