Shopping Bag

I'm trying my best to be greener, although not always easy. I'm trying to eliminate plastic bags from the Supermarket shop, but would find it harder to say no to a bag if I was buying clothes.

Anyway, I've started makng shopper bags, this one will go to the market, but I'm going to be knocking up a few more. It is half from my House Proud book and half from my Bend the Rules Sewing, you could say I've blended the 2 patterns together!

Thank you, I'll definitely be making some more, can I ask you, in the name of market research, what would you be prepared to pay for a bag like this?

This is great! I have been using the highly unattractive (yet useful) freebie tote bags that I have collected from various luncheons and events. On my to-do list: sew some that I am not ashamed to carry in public. :) Your creation is lovely!

Hi, i think definitely over £5, think about how much time it took you to make them, the costs of the material and then price it from there, it would also depend on how you the other things you are selling and how much they cost! Hope taht helps a little!

Thank you Mrs B, your comments are invaluable. I am going to go for £7.50. and see if they sell. I've just finished stuffing all my doorstops, and sewing bows onto my lavender scented bags. Busy morning. Off to Argus to buy a cheap hanging rail after lunch! Considering making another smocket, checking out sizes on Boden and Next!!
