Silk Flower

I made this flower from Cynthia Treen's book, Last MInute Fabric Gifts, which is really well written and has not let me down! It can be used as a brooch or a hair clip, I just need to decide which and put the suitable backing on!

Hey, your flower looks so pretty, where do you get all the materials from to make everything? I want to try and make something from your blog but im not sure where i can buy the stuff from?

Thank you so much. I just go to fabric shops, it's best to look around, as they are all so different. But you can end up paying alot. HOwever if you are unsure whereto start, John Lewis is excellent, and Liberty has amazing fabrics (but pricy!) The flower, doesn't involve a sewing machine. I'm doing a stall at an art and craft market in Brighton at the end of October, so if you can come along!

The flower looks lovely! I have that same book but got the (apparently, wrong) idea that it would be difficult to make... Yours looks fantastic!
